About the Writers
So you might be wondering who writes for MassMedia Studios. We the answer is; everyone.
The whole company has access to our blog, and so you’ll never be short of something interesting to read from at least one member of the company. Primarily though, most of the news we blog will come from one of the following people:
Adam – Managing Director
With over ten years industry experience under his belt Adam joined MassMedia as Executive Producer in 2005, transferring to the UK team as Head of Solutions in 2007. 2009 Saw Adam return to the Sydney office as General Manager then take over as Managing Director in 2010.
During Adam’s career he has produced web, desktop, and hybrid multimedia applications and developed e-learning materials for a variety of clients ranging from government organisations, multinationals, universities and charities.
Using his commercial design and project management skills Adam has been involved in the production of over fifty online systems providing solutions for medium to large businesses and government agencies.
While lecturing in Design and Multimedia disciplines at the University of Newcastle, Adam pioneered the online teaching environment and was an advisor for many other courses including the Bachelors of Multimedia and Information Technology.
Kevin – Group Creative Director
Our 3 times ARIA award winning Group Creative Director has recently worked with ONQUE Create Sydney as Director Creative Strategy where he oversaw the 2010 creative strategy for the digital launch of both Samsung 3D TV as well as the Samsung Mobile Smartphone portal.
He was also a senior creative at ABT working both in the Sydney and Melbourne offices for over two and half years with such clients as IBM, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, Optus, AMP, Woolworth’s, Multiplex, Lenovo, Telstra, Samsung, Masterfoods, InterfaceFLOR, and
BOGOC Beijing 2008.
Other notable positions for Kevin include working as Creative Director for Melbourne agency Designworks as well as Sydney agencies Deegan advertising and Designstreet. During his time with these agencies he has produced an array of creative direction for such clients as: Landcom Australia, Mirvac Australia, Qantas Australia, Kawasaki Motorcycles, Rick Damelian Australia, Luxottica Australia, engin Australia, Sony Corporation Australia, Caltex Australia, Australia Post, Cork International and 3M Australia.
May – Executive Producer
May joined MassMedia Studios as Senior Producer in January 2009 and advanced into the Executive Producer role in March, with over 7 years of digital media experience under her belt.
Prior to MassMedia she had worked at RMG Connect where her portfolio of clients includes blue chip companies such as Nestle, Hewlett-Packard, Kellogg’s and Procter and Gamble. One of her most successful campaigns was the Nestle Kit Kat Chunky Chunga Championship which combined film, online media, social networking and mobile to engage the youth market and entice them to start a conversation about their latest cookies & cream product. The campaign resulted in over six minutes engagement on average.
She has also worked at a number of high-profile digital agencies in Malaysia managing clients such as Honda, NEC, Toyota and Sony.
May holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney majoring in Accounting and Finance.
Stefan – Designer
After working as a designer in London with 10 years experience, Stefan relocated to Sydney in 2008 and joined the MassMedia team.
He has freelanced around the world for branding and interactive agencies such as Wolff Olins, RKCR, Y&R, and McCanns.
Rainer – Account Manager
Rainer joined the MassMedia Studios team in 2008 as Account Manager working across both the agency and Traction businesses.
He brings to MassMedia a wealth of client experience, technical understanding as well as strong organisational and communication skills.
Previously Rainer worked with Emotion Media Factory in Munich and Athens as a Production/ Design Coordinator and Project Manager.
Duncan – Sales Director
Duncan joined us from NineMSN with over 12 years experience in online media.
Moving up the ranks in the media industry, Duncan was appointed General Manager at emove.com.au. This role gave Duncan exposure to all facets and stresses of a small and unprofitable online business being turned around to become a profitable growing concern
After this time, Duncan joined the team at Ninemsn to instigate, negotiate and manage the acquisitions of several multi-million dollar advertising contracts with names such as eBay and Match.com.
As head of MassMedia’s Business Development, Duncan is very excited to be in a position in which he can leverage his experience in consulting to assist marketers and business owners/managers to achieve the most successful digital relationship marketing and brand strategy.
